4 on 4 Sand Volleyball Tournament

Double Elimination Bracket

Please arrive 20 minute prior to your schedule game and after your first game, it is recommended to stay by the Sand Volleyball Court in case games finish quickly.

Overview:

The 4 on 4 Sand Volleyball Tournament is a self-officiated double elimination tournament held on Saturday, Sept. 27th beginning at 12pm noon. The sand court is located behind Mimosa dorms, beside the outdoor basketball courts. A minimum of 2 players are needed to participate. The matches are best of 3. Rally scoring to 21, win by 2, with a cap of 25. If there are any plays where both teams disagree, replay will be ruled. All other rules follow indoor volleyball guidelines, except players may play below their waist with a part of their body. Game ball is provided by the IM Department, but teams may agree to use another ball. An IM Supervisor will be at the site to insure the tournament is running properly.

Registration Information:

The registration period for the 4 on 4 Sand Volleyball Tournament isTuesday,Sept. 16th - Tuesday, Sept. 23rd. The deadline on Tuesday, Sept. 23rd is at 7 pm at the Rec Center Front Desk. Cost to participate is $10/team. All registration forms must be filled out completely with all the relevant information from the captain and the participating teammates. All participants must submit their Rowan ID # and fill out the waiver prior to participation.

There is no captains meeting. Captains will be contacted regarding the schedule of the tournament and about any possible free agents being available.
