Dodgeball If You Dare Tourney

Double Elimination Bracket

Overview:

The Dodgeball If You Dare Tournament is a double elimination event on Friday, Sept 19th at 4pm. Teams consist of 6 players. The matches are played on the basketball court, with a match consisting of best of 3 games. Games are 5 minutes unless a team is completely eliminated prior to the time limit. With 1 minute left in the game, the game is stopped and the remaining players must finish play in they volleyball court lines. Players are "out" if they are hit by a ball or if opponents catch a thrown ball. Players knocked out will form in line according to the order they were hit and if a ball is caught, they may return to play. Read rules about deflections and out of bounds.

Registration Information:

The registration period for the Dodgeball Tournament is Tuesday, Sept. 9 - Tuesday, Sept. 16th. The deadline is on Tuesday, Sept. 16th at 7pm at the Rec Center Front Desk. Cost is $10/team. All registration forms must be filled out completely with all the relevant information from the captain and the participating teammates. All participants must submit their Rowan ID # and fill out the waiver prior to participation.

The mandatory captain's meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16th at 3:15pm at the Rec Center Conference Room. Any teams not represented at the captain's meeting will be assessed a $5 fee for missing the meeting. If the team captain is not available, a team representative must attend. This meeting will go over the playing procedures and rules for the tournament and is also an opportunity to ask questions. Free agents are available at the meeting.
