Overview:
The Rec Center and the HES Club is co-sponsoring "Run for a Cause" 5K Race/Walk to benefit the American Heart Association. The Rowan 5K is a 3.1 mile race/walk, with the run entirely on the Rowan Campus. Rowan students, faculty/staff, and Rec Center members are eligible to participate. In the event that you would like to donate but cannot participate, donations will be taken at the race check-in table or at the Rec Center Front Desk.
Event Details:
No streets will be crossed during the run. The race will be on Saturday, Nov. 8th, with check-in at from 12pm - 12:45pm at the Edgewood side of the Intramural Field. The event begins at 1pm. Please see the race map below so you are familiar with the trail, but volunteers will be stationed at certain locations to direct you in the right path.
In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for this event is Saturday, Nov. 15th. with race check-in at 12pm - 12:45pm at the same location and event starts at 1pm. Those individuals that cannot participate will be issued a refund.

Registration Information:
The registration period for the "Run for a Cause" 5K Race/Walk is Tuesday, October 28th - Tuesday, November 4th. The registration deadline is Tuesday, November 4th at 7pm at the Rec Center Front Desk. Divisions offered are Men's Student, Men's Non-Student, Women's Student, and Women's Non-Student. The fee is $15 and each participant receives a Race/Walk T-shirt. Those that register after the deadline will not be guaranteed a race shirt. Each division winner will receive an intramural champion t-shirt. Varsity Track and Cross Country runners may participate, but are not eligible for prizes.
