Class Descriptions
Anything Goes: This low intensity class will offer strength, cardio, and felxibility. A great way to hit all components of fitness.
BALL Tone: Finally a class that incorporates everything - Abs, strength training, flexibility, balance and core strengthening. A 45 minute class utilizing the resist-a-ball for all movements. A definite for all fitness levels including the sport-specific athlete. Belly Dance: Welcome to the world of Middle Eastern Dance. Learn all of the authentic belly dance moves from the shimmy to the belly roll. What a fun way to learn something new, meet new people and work out all at the same time. BOOTCAMP: Self explanatory! Intense cardiovascular workout that will assassure fun and sweat. Cardio BOSU: A 45-minute power packed cardiovascular workout that will assure fun and sweat. HIP HOP: Learn the latest hip hop moves while getting a great cariovascular wokout. You won't even know you're working out because you will be having so much fun. No dance experience necessary. INC: An explosive work-out on a bike. Follow the instructor through hills, sprints and all out fun while listening to motivational music to get you through your 45-minute intense bike ride. The ultimate for weight loss. Interval BOSU: A mix of cardio and strength on the BOSU ball. A great fat-burning workout. Pilates: Discover the true meaning of stretching and core strength. This class will teach you the correct way to stretch and the ultimate way to firm up your core. Originally developed to condition professional dancers and athletes, pilates guides you through a multitude of core strengthening and stretching positions. S&E (Strength and Endurance): This class takes the weight room into the aerobics room for an intense, fat-burning and fun work-out. You'll use everything from dumbbells to resist-a-bands to resist-a-balls to medicine balls as an aid in strengthening and firming your muscles. Strength training is the way to go to lose those unwanted pounds and firm your body. Triathlon Class: Have you always wanted to do a triathlon but didn't know where to begin? This class will give you all the tools you need to complete a triathlon. Each class begins in the classroom, moves to the pool for a 20 minute swim, moves to the cycling room for a 40 minute ride and ends with a 20 minute run. Within months you will have the confidence and skills needed to compete in a triathlon. Students/Members $150, Non-members $250. Water Fitness: This class will combine the best of both worlds: cardio and strength. The movements are basic, easy to follow, and performed individually and in groups. Learn how the water can provide you with awesome strength, power, cardio benefits, and increased flexibility. Yoga: This ancient natural method for achieving and maintaining physical, mental and emotional health is the hottest form of exercise right now. This class includes classical yoga postures, warm-ups, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods. Benefits include: stress release, body tone and strength, weight control, improved body alignment and flexibility and better concentration.
