The M.A. in Writing is sponsored jointly by the Department of Composition and Rhetoric and the Department of Journalism and Creative Writing in the College of Communication.
Rowan University's College of Communication, located in Bozorth and Hawthorn Halls, maintains three state-of-the-art Macintosh writing labs, two for composition studies and one for journalism/professional writing courses. Distance learning facilities are also available in bozorth for delivering courses off-campus and receiving satellite broadcasts.
The Rowan Library maintains a fine collection of materials for writers and is a member of the Vale online consortium of college and university libraries across New Jersey. The campus library is supplemented by a number of university research libraries in the Delaware Valley.
Throughout the academic year, the Departments of Composition and Rhetoric and Journalism and Creative Writing hold a number of graduate colloquia with local, regional and national writers. Students will have an opportunity to exchange their ideas with working writers in a lively, convivial atmosphere.
