M.A. in Writing admissions deadlines:
Spring Admission - October 15
Fall Admission - February 1Prospective students are asked to complete the Rowan University Graduate School Application and submit current GRE general test scores and a writing sample of 8-10 pages. GRE scores must be dated within five years of the time the student applies to the program. Scores older than five years cannot be accepted.
Some graduate assistantships are available on campus. Alumni may also be eligible for a limited number of scholarships available through the Alumni office. Students interested in applying for a graduate assistantship should contact The Graduate School to receive the necessary forms.
International students who would like to apply to the program must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and score 550 on the paper test or 213 on the computerized version of the test. In addition, international students must provide official proof of a four-year baccalaureate degree, an official transcript evaluation by World Education Services, and maintain appropriate U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service visa requirements for full-time students. Those international students who would like to apply to Rowan are encouraged to contact The Graduate School (gradoffice@rowan.edu) for the International Pre-Application Form, which describes the requirements for attending graduate school.
